Leer Mine Complex-Underground Production Supervisor

JOB LOCATION:   Leer Mining Complex, Grafton, WV

JOB TITLE:           Underground Production Supervisor

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Supervise and provide direction to hourly employees in production
• Plan, organize, schedule, and coordinate with the Shift Foreman on all mining activities
• Supervise coal production, power moves, belt moves, timber and cribbing, stopping construction, water line set-ups, and other associated activities as assigned
• Adopt and follow the Leer Mining Complex Safety philosophy of achieving an injury-free workplace
• Actively support and promote the Behavioral Based Safety program

• PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum of five years of underground production experience
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Dust certification or an ability to obtain
• EMT certification a plus
• Record of good work attendance and punctuality  

• REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Current WV Mine Foreman Certification
• Previous successful supervisory experience
